<B>1795<H10C> MS64 NGC.</B></I> LM-8, V-5, R-3. A die crack (as made) through the Y in LIBERTY to Liberty's nose is paired with a reverse that has a pair of berries below the first T in STATES. Silver-gray in color and lustrous in the fields as expected for the grade, darker antique-gold and tan shades accent the outer border areas. The strike is well above average for the issue, with only slight weakness on the upper curls of Liberty, the eagle's breast and right (facing) wing. Of importance to the collector is the lack of normally seen adjustment marks on either side. Several thin diagonal grease stains (as struck) are seen on the obverse and almost 45 degrees of clockwise die rotation is also noted. A conditionally elusive example of this second year issue. Population: 29 in 64, 18 finer (5/05).
