1795<H10C> MS62 PCGS. V-4, LM-10, R.3. Readily attributable by the wide die break from TY to star 9 on the obverse. A lovely Mint State example of this scarce and important early silver type coin. The obverse is well defined, with especially good details on the hair, but the reverse is somewhat soft on the eagle, as is often the case. Deep golden-brown toning adorns the peripheries on each side, with some green and red-gold color intermingled on the obverse. Carefully preserved and seemingly free of post-strike anomalies, but adjustment marks are noticeable on Liberty's face, and over her lower hair curls. Broad doubling is noted on the second S in STATES. This impressive survivor is housed in a PCGS holder with a light-green label.
From The Tide Collection.
