<B>1795<H10C> MS61 NGC.</B></I> V-6, LM-9, R.4. There is one berry on the inside wreath under the left wing, none on the outside. On the obverse a die crack passes from the rim to the Y in LIBERTY, through Liberty's nose, down through the face and neck, to re-emerge through the 7 and back to the rim. The L in LIBERTY is low, and I and B are widely separated. The Logan-McCloskey reference comments that this is a "scarce die marriage of this year that is difficult to obtain in mint state." Only about 75 pieces are known in all grades. This appealing piece offers pinkish-gray surfaces with glints of blue throughout. Considerable planchet adjustment marks are noted through the eagle on the reverse, and the luster is somewhat subdued, accounting for the grade. There are, however, no singular abrasions on either side. The strike is somewhat weak on the reverse, typical for the issue.
