1795 50C 2 Leaves XF45 PCGS. O-119, R.4. The point of star 1 pierces Liberty's lowest hair curl, which is frayed out on the end. On the reverse the berries are arranged 9-9 and a leaf tip touches the left base of the I in UNITED. This example is remarkably well preserved and distraction-free for a coin now 212 years old. Some original luster emanates from each side, and the surfaces appear "right" for the grade, showing no evidence of ever having been cleaned. A few light scrapes and ticks are consistent with the grade (or perhaps the next grade higher); the only singular abrasion is a scrape in the left obverse field. The surfaces are light silver-gray with a glint of pinkish-gold. There are no adjustment marks on either side. While this piece appears not to be in the Condition Census, neither is it far away.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
