1795<50C> 2 Leaves XF45 NGC. O-117, R.4. Most easily identifiable by the "defect line" between the right arm and base of Y in LIBERTY. Overton also stated that the field was unfinished below the chin. This is an earlier die state without any evidence of the crack from 5 o'clock to the bust, and the same die state as seen on the Jules Reiver Fine 15 coin. This is one of the finest examples of this die state auctioned recently. The only finer coin listed on Stephen Herrman's prices realized list is an AU58 coin that was sold in 1992. Heritage sold two XF40 coins in 2005, one brought $3,450 and the other $10,350. This is a sharply defined piece that shows minimal friction over the highpoints. The surfaces are notably free from abrasions, and each side is toned gray-rose with iridescent color around the margins and silvery-gray accents over the design elements.
