<B>1795<50C> 2 Leaves XF45 ANACS.</B></I> O-129, R.5. Star 1 pierces an open hair curl, and the bust truncation is between two points of star 15. On the reverse the berries are arranged 8-9, and the last S in STATES is recut over a D. There is a die crack at the M in AMERICA and, as Overton puts it, there is a "low oblong defect lump" between D and S. A pretty and pleasing medium silver-gray piece, this example is well centered and shows no major impairments, although a few light adjustment marks show on the reverse. This variety is listed as R.5 in the latest Overton-Parsley fourth edition. We offered an MS61 in August 2004; Stephen Herrman's Bust half price reference shows the top pieces at 61, 58, 58, 55, 50. This Choice XF example may just miss the bottom of the Condition Census.
