1795<50C> 2 Leaves VF25 PCGS. O-103, R.5. The lowest curl is equidistant from four star points. Recutting shows on the left serifs of the M, and a die defect joins the rock to the ribbon. The berries are arranged 10 left, seven right. This example shows pretty medium silver-gray surfaces with glints of copper. A tiny die crack runs from the rim to the E in LIBERTY before terminating, as no sign of its continuing to the top of Liberty's head is visible on this piece. Despite 35 points of wear, Liberty's deeper hair curls shows a pleasing wealth of detail remaining. Die misalignment has made the obverse strike boldest at 9 o'clock and softest at 3 o'clock (through stars 10 through 13, and correspondingly on the reverse (through AMER).
