<B>1795 50C 2 Leaves AU58 NGC.</B></I> O-104, R.4. This variety is promptly identified by the die defect lump below star 15, while two points of star 1 nearly touch the closed curl. There are two small defect lumps on the B in LIBERTY. This original-looking coin shows just momentary circulation that has lightly brushed against its beautiful surfaces. The lilac-gray centers cede to cobalt-blue at the obverse rim, while the reverse is a more uniform lilac-gray. This reverse die was used for several die pairings, but the dentilation above RI is clashed and brought into the fields, and several other nearby dentils show doubling from clashes. A wealth of fine detail is present in Liberty's hair and the eagle's breast and wings.
