1795[$10] 13 Leaves AU58 NGC.
1795<$10> 13 Leaves AU58 NGC. B. 1-A, Taraszka-1, R.3. The most frequently seen variety of the year, which is distinguished by a minute extension at the top left of the upper left of the serif of the Y in LIBERTY. The 1795 Capped Bust Right, Small Eagle Ten was produced with five known die marriages between September 27, 1795 and March 30, 1796. It seems highly likely that representatives of the B. 1-A variety were the first delivered because they were preserved in greater numbers than examples of the other four die marriages. The novelty of these large, impressive gold coins and their resultant popularity among the public at the time also explains why most survivors grade XF-AU; i.e., many examples were retrieved after a short stint in circulation and preserved for posterity. With a pleasing, green-gold sheen and ample remaining definition over the main design elements, this coin would do wonders for a high grade circulated type set. There is a smattering of light abrasions on both sides, most of which are not individually distracting, and none of which are out of context with the Choice AU grade level. One of numerous important gold offerings in this memorable Heritage sale.

Important notice: Heritage usually auctions material at the rate of 200-250 lots per hour. On some occasions eBay Live bid software or the Internet may not be able to keep up with the pace of the auction. We recommend placing a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Occasionally the auctioneer may eliminate or reject an eBay Live bid, and the auctioneer may also reopen a lot after the close of the eBay live bidding (usually because we missed an audience bid), and may reject your bid even if it shows you as the winning bidder. By bidding via eBay Live, you agree that Heritage may award the lot to another bidder at its sole discretion under the circumstances described above or any other reasonable circumstances. Since eBay bids are not shown to us until we open the lot on the floor, we treat those bids just like floor bids. In most cases the floor responds before the eBay bid is presented to us, due to Internet lag time, so for consistency we have made it a policy that floor bids are always considered first over tie eBay live bids. Also please note that all Heritage lots purchased through eBay Live carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions before you bid.
