1795 $1 Flowing Hair, Three Leaves AU50 NGC. B-5, BB-27, R.1. Bowers-Borckardt Die State II with a crack from left stem end to the rim. Early dollar specialists know to look for a thin raised line or "bar" behind the upper neck curl of Liberty. This bar is diagnostic for Bolender-5, the most available among the Flowing Hair varieties. Survivors in all grades are coveted for their status as the first silver dollar type coin. Most B-5 dollars are in XF or lower grades, but the present AU representative has plentiful glowing luster about the design elements, and a few feathers on the eagle's neck and back leg are visible. The generally smooth dove-gray surfaces exhibit delicate rose and lime tints once rotated beneath a light.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
