<B>1795 1/2 C Lettered Edge AU55 NGC.</B></I> C-6a, B-6c, R.2. NGC's designation of "overstruck" refers to the planchet, which was cut down from a 1794 Talbot, Allum & Lee Cent, With New York variety. The lightly worn surfaces are predominantly mocha-brown with a trace of red. Well struck overall, though the OF on the reverse is soft. Isolated marks and a central spot of walnut-brown toning appear on the obverse. EAC 30.
