1794 S-64 R5- Missing Fraction Bar, PCGS XF Details, Edge RepairedGlossy brown and light olive with smooth surfaces and great eye appeal for the grade. Moderately worn and surprisingly void of marks. A very light, barely visible rim bruise right of the fraction is the best identifying mark, and it is easily missed. There is an incipient planchet clip at the edge before the upper part of the neck (the folks at PCGS mistook this as "Damage," but it is a minor mint error). LDS, Breen state V, Heck 5, with a strong radial die crack through the D in UNITED plus a lighter crack from the dentils to the right top of the M in AMERICA. Much of the D is filled with a small internal cud break and the center of the reverse is swollen causing weakness at ON and CEN. The Missing Fraction Bar feature is obvious. AUCTION TERMS OF SALE
1. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. In case of dispute the auctioneer may at his sole discretion reopen a lot. In all cases the auctioneer’s decision shall be final and binding on bidders.
2. The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse to honor any bid which, at his sole discretion, he feels is not submitted in good faith. The auctioneer may withdraw any lot, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever.
3. All sales are payable in U. S. funds immediately upon receipt of invoice unless other arrangements have been made prior to the sale. Lots will not be released to buyers until paid for in full. Lots delivered in state of sale are subject to all applicable state and local taxes unless appropriate permits are on file with us.
4. Postage will be added to the invoice of all successful mail bidders.
5. A 20% buyer’s fee will be added to all invoices.
6. Please keep in mind this is not an approval sale. All sales are considered final. Sales to the floor may not be returned for any reason save authenticity. Sales to mail bidders are final unless lot proves to have been mis-described.
7. Lots will be available for viewing during the Houston Money Show bourse hours January 17, 2020 and by appointment.
