Sharpness VF35 with extremely fine granularity under a glossy dark olive patina. The obverse is highly glossy while the reverse is only moderately reflective, but there is no verdigris on either side. A small, shallow planchet flake in the field under the chin is the only mark. Nicely struck M-LDS, Breen state III, with a strong die crack at UNIT outlining a retained cud that has shifted outward and is tilted but is not yet raised. An attractive example of a neat die state.
