<B>1794 H10C AU58 NGC.</B></I> V-3, LM-3, R.4. All of the 1794 half dimes were actually struck in 1795. Mint records prove this, as the first delivery warrant for half dimes was dated March 30, 1795. Careful study of die use, known as the emission sequence, reveals that the 1794 and 1795 dies were used interchangeably, so it is not possible to determine the exact mintage of either date. This delightful near-Mint example has nearly full luster beneath gunmetal and steel toning, with cobalt-blue and forest-green peripheral accents.
