<B>1794<Cent> Talbot, Allum & Lee Cent PR64 Brown PCGS.</B></I> Breen-1032. A rare proof striking of this important Early American private issue. Splendidly toned in golden-brown hues that transform into olive, plum, and ocean-blue colors when rotated beneath a light. A few tiny mint-made planchet flaws are distributed in the fields, but no post-strike abrasions are evident. Many Talbot, Allum & Lee tokens were purchased by the U.S. Mint and used as planchets for Half Cents, circa 1795 to 1797. Traces of the undertype often remain visible on these Half Cents.
