1794 1C Talbot, Allum, & Lee Cent, Without NEW YORK XF40 PCGS. Fuld-1, Breen-1028, "extremely rare." A mahogany-brown toning with moderate wear on the figure of Liberty. A couple of thin marks on the upper reverse are of little import. The obverse has a volcano-shaped die break that encompasses the MME in COMMERCE, then gradually narrows into a slender line at 5:30. This die break may have caused the early replacement of both dies, which would explain the great rarity of Fuld-1. PCGS has certified just three examples, all as XF40 (1/08). A different PCGS XF40 example brought $16,100 in our March 2006 Palm Beach Signature.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
