<B>1794 1C Head of 1794 VF30 PCGS.</B></I> S-65, R.1. Several slender die cracks provide ready attribution of this marriage, known as the "Shielded Hair" since bold milling on the lower left border helps to protect Liberty's trailing tresses. Deep tan-brown color cedes in select areas to charcoal hues. Liberty's forehead and cheek betray moderate wear, as appropriate for the grade. Handling marks are refreshingly minimal, and any specialist would be proud to possess such an attractive early large cent.
