The obverse is moderately pitted, the rims have a few dings, and faint pinscratches are noted below LIBERTY and the bust. There is a scratch above the date, and the reverse has a contact mark near 2 o'clock. Chain Cents are coveted for their historic important, as they represent the first coinage from the newly constructed Philadelphia Mint. The dies are slightly rotated counterclockwise.
