1793<1/2 C> C-2, B-2, R.3. Usual Die State--Corroded--NCS. Fine Details. Good 6 EAC. Forelock below IB; Crowded fraction. Quality of the surfaces does not permit distinction between the two Breen die states. Lightly corroded dark brown surfaces with deep green color on both sides. The devices are lighter brown, resulting in a pleasing two-tone appearance. The date and LIBERTY are both completely legible. Like C-1, this variety is usually available only in lower grades.
Many of the Reiver coins were housed in white two-inch square envelopes with the pedigree recorded simply as a last name and a date. We have attempted to identify these pedigree sources more specifically, but in some cases their identities have alluded us.
Ex: Dill (11/17/1970). Envelope Included.
