Details an act authorizing the purchase of a tract of land in the state of New York designated as West-Point ''…for the purpose of such fortifications and garrisons as may be necessary for the defence of the same.'' Act signed in type: John Adams, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. Newspaper, measuring 10'' x 16.5'', runs 4pp. Mild toning, soiling and foxing. Very good condition.
