<B>1787 1/2P Machin's Mills Halfpenny--Corroded--NCS. AU Details.</B></I> Vlack 19-87C, R.2. An unusually bold piece, the obverse is pleasing aside from a hint of peripheral gray verdigris. The deep brick-red reverse is mildly granular, but evenly so. Specialists will appreciate the sharp devices and nearly unabraded surfaces. The reverse die was later used to create the Ryder-13 Vermont Britannia variety.
