An attractive British silver sixpence dated 1787, minted under King George III. The obverse shows a well-detailed bust of George III with the inscription GEORGIVS III DEI GRATIA. The reverse features the classic crowned shields arranged in a cross, representing England, Scotland, Ireland, and France, with the date 1787 below.

The 1787 sixpence is a popular issue due to its strong historical connections, including the late Georgian period, early industrial Britain, and the years immediately following the American Revolution. Many examples show heavy wear, but this coin retains clear legends and shield details, making it an appealing collectible.

Struck in sterling silver (.925). A solid addition to any British or world coin collection. Condition as shown in photos.
