<B>1787 COPPER New Jersey Copper, Large Planchet, Plain Shield AU53 PCGS.</B></I> Ex: Ford. Maris 63-q, R.3. An attractive Large Planchet type coin with the desirable Ford pedigree. The chocolate-brown surfaces are unblemished and attractive. An early die state without the usual break from the left shield corner. As described by the Ford cataloguer, "apparently struck on a flan damaged by the planchet cutter leaving a wide expanse of unstruck copper along around the left side of the obverse, more faintly through the lower third of the reverse." <BR><I>Ex: John J.
