<B>1787<COPPER> Connecticut Copper, ETLIR XF Details, Planchet Flaw, NCS.</B></I> M. 39.2-ee, R.5. An AUCTOBI/ETLIR variety, however, a soft strike on the upper left obverse makes only the ETLIR engraving blunder discernible. The strike is also soft at 5 o'clock on the reverse, which is opposite the obverse weakness due to rotated dies. Otherwise very sharp, however, although some gray verdigris is present along with an obverse lamination on the neck and a rough flaw on the reverse along the left waist. Sharper than either of the Taylor coins, either of the Perkins coin, and the Ford specimen.
