1787 COPPER Connecticut Copper, Draped Bust Left XF45 PCGS. Miller 33.39-s.1, R.4. Predominantly smooth, milk chocolate surfaces. There is some planchet granularity in the centers of both the obverse and reverse designs as is often found on this variety, although there is still considerable detail in these areas. There are a couple of small, short planchet striations, most noticeably one on the cheek and another through the final cinquefoil on the obverse, as well as a couple by the center of the seated figure on the reverse. Small clip at 12:00 on the obverse. Well centered with strong detail, legends, and punctuation on both sides, and most of the date visibly on the planchet. A high grade example of this scarce variety. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Premier carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
