<B>1786<COPPER> Vermont Copper, Bust Left VG Details, Damaged, NCS.</B></I> RR-11, Bressett 9-H, R.4. Similar in general style to the Bust Left Connecticut Coppers, but the Vermont varieties (two from 1786 and one from 1787) are rare by comparison. This medium brown piece has a prominent depression from 1 to 2 o'clock on the obverse that extends into the bust. Some roughness is also present in front of the seated effigy's face and beneath the legs. A few light pinscratches and moderate verdigris are also noted. Although these various imperfections diminish the value of this example, they are not a serious detriment given the overall grade of the coin.
