<B>1786 COPPER New Jersey Copper, Narrow Shield, Straight Plow Beam AU53 PCGS.</B></I> Maris 17-J, R.5. A rare die marriage, especially in such high grade. Overstruck, probably on a Connecticut copper, perhaps the 1787 38-GG variety, with the NDE in INDE and the O in AUCTORI legible. A glossy chocolate-brown piece with a well centered obverse. The reverse is misaligned toward 10:30. The numbers "19" are lightly if ornately pinscratched onto the left obverse field.
