March 11, 1785-Dated Manuscript Document Signed, “David Cobb” as Justice of the Peace, Bristol County Massachusetts, Choice Very Fine.
Original Manuscript Document Signed, “David Cobb Justice of the Peace,” Bristol County (Mass.), 1 page, measuring about 4.25” x 7.5” on clean handmade laid period paper with a full papermaker’s watermark and with the small personal Paper Seal of the Justice. This interesting Document reads, in full:

“Bristol: -- Be it Remembered that on The11th Day of March in The Year of our Lord 1785 Jabor Knapp was Convicted before Me one Of The Justices Of The Peace in and for County afore(said) for swearing one profane oath. Given under my Hand & Seal The Day & Year Afore(said).” -- (Signed) “David Cobb Justice of The Peace”. Docket on Verso States: Jabor Knapp's Conviction.
