March 31, 1784-Dated, Partially-Printed Document, Philadelphia Payment Exchange Form for “PHILADELPHIE” from a French Bank, printed in French with Payment noted in Dutch, Choice Extremely Fine.
Rare Financial Exchange Form was written in 1784 at Philadelphia for a French Bank. It is in outstanding quality for such a document of the era. This wonderful specimen has full margins and in very clean, original overall condition and is some writing and endorsed on the back. It is both printed and written in French and it is beautifully completed and signed being written with a Quill pen. Fine quality laid period paper was used to convey that 3,000 Florins of Holland would be transferred. Receipt docket and vivid signature on the blank reverse which appears to have been accomplished in Dutch. A rare, Post evolutionary War and Pre Federal Era, historic early banking document.
