<B>1783 Chalmers Shilling, Long Worm VF20 PCGS.</B></I> Breen-1012. The fence above the two birds is aligned with the second I in SHILLING, unlike the Short Worm variety which places the fence between two N's. Whether the birds are squabbling or sharing is subject to debate, as is the object between them, variously described as a worm or a branch. This representative has a well defined obverse, while the reverse is softly impressed at the center and 3 o'clock. Mostly cream-gray with areas of deeper russet toning. The reverse legends display strike doubling.
