November 23, 1782-Dated Revolutionary War, Partially-Printed Massachusetts Treasury Office “Collector of Boston” Demand Document, Choice Extremely Fine.
Anderson MA-38. Revolutionary War Era Commonwealth of Massachusetts Treasury Office “Collector of Boston” Demand Document made to Mr. Thomas Bayley, Dated November 23, 1782. This form noting that an amount of £37 is due to a Capt. Gilbert Dench, and is Signed by “Thomas Ivers” as Treasurer, measuring about 6” x 3.5”. A rare and unusual vivid snd attractive type, boldly printed in deep black with significant original press text embossing within the crisp, clean laid period paper. Apparently this example was fully executed, as the form has several manuscript cancels at center and the Treasurer’s signature.
