c. 1780 18th Century, Matched Set of Five, Hand-Painted Chinese Export Armorial Tableware, Five Different, About Extremely Fine.
This is a very scarce, highly decorative and colorful, Matched Set of Hand-Painted Chinese Export Ceramics of the 18th century. These five items including:

1. Large Oval Serving Platter, measuring 13” wide x 10.5” tall, central monogram “WL” with a gorgeous large “Boar” walking upon grass above, within a blue and gold gilt banner with tassels. This item having the fanciest and boldest design features in this set.

2 & 3. (2) “Lobed” Oval Dishes, measuring 7.5” wide x 5” tall and 4.75” wide x 3.5” tall.

4. Gravy Boat, measuring 7.5” long x 3.25” wide with a fancy twisted period handle.

5. Helmet-form Creamer, measuring 5.25” tall x 3” wide x 6.25” long, with a “log” form handle.

Each item with colorful deep rich blue and gold gilded decorations, with central Coat of Arms with similar deep blue and golds and decorative floral designs, being unmarked. The condition is quite nice and attractive overall, the Smallest Dish with an early staple repair to reinforce a fine crack, some expected minor loss of gilding and wear to enamel from use. A decorative Set of Five that is excellent for any late Colonial to Early Federal period display. (5 item set).
