<B>1778 1/2P Machin's Mills Halfpenny AU55 PCGS.</B></I> Vlack 12-78B, R.3. Although Vlack 12-78B is traditionally listed as R.3, it shares a very low PCGS-certified population with two other "1778" varieties, and the present piece is the single-finest certified by that firm. The tan-brown surfaces exhibit slight strike doubling, and show only minor verdigris. Nicely struck with pleasing eye appeal for a Machin's Mills product, usually found in low grades.
