<B>1773 1/2P Virginia Halfpenny, Period MS64 Red PCGS.</B></I> Period after S, 7 harpstrings. Newman 27-J. The A in VIRGINIA and the 3 in 1773 are repunched. Brilliant mint orange-red blazes from both sides of this splendid piece, which shows slight mellowing to brown only on the highpoints. There is minimal carbon, mostly visible only under a loupe.
