<B>1773 1/2P Virginia Halfpenny, No Period MS63 Red and Brown PCGS.</B></I> Eight harp strings. The reverse appears to be Newman's X, but the obverse die is unlisted in his 1956 ANS monograph. This sharp example is mostly cherry-red with a dash of tan on the cheek. A spot is seen after the X in REX.
