Province of Pennsylvania. June 18, 1764. Ten Shillings. Plate A. “Printed by B. FRANKLIN” Issue. Moderate conservation. PASS-CO graded Very Fine-30.
Fr. PA-124. This Ten Shillings Benjamin Franklin issue note is well centered and deeply printed, exhibiting above average overall eye appeal. Only 9,900 notes were printed, of which a mere 4,950 would bear plate letter A. There is some moderate conservation to the horizontal centerfold with deft sealed edge splits. The reverse is somewhat dull as compared to its face. All three signatures are easily readable in red and brown. The signers include; Abel James, Thomas Clifford and Henry Drinker. The Finest Certified by PMG is Fine-15. This note is obviously significantly finer in quality and highly collectable.
