January 15, 1762-Dated French & Indian War Period, Partly-Printed Document Completed in John Hancock’s own Hand, 9” x 4.5”, 1 page, at Boston, Very Fine. Being a partly-printed bill of lading document filled in by John Hancock for his ailing uncle Thomas Hancock. Some edge chips and splits. This original shipping Document concerns a large cargo of foodstuffs being sent from Boston to New York to feed the British troops stationed there during the French and Indian War. Listed items include; beef, pork, bread, flour, butter, rice, vinegar, rum and wine.
