<B>1758 Map of France.</B></I> This map of France was done by Robert de Vaugondy. It has hand-colored borders, partially shown relief, and an elaborate cartouche, all done by engraver Marie Catherine Haussard. The title of the map is "Carte du Royaume de France ou sont tracees exactement les routes des postes, par le Sr. Robert Geographe ordinaire du Roy. Avec Privilidge. 1758". The borders of the different regions have been hand-colored in different hues, and postal routes are shown in surprising detail. The scale appears in the upper right and the cartouche in the lower left. The cartouche is quite exquisite and detailed. The map is in very fine condition with light overall toning, small areas of foxing along the lower edge, and one vertical crease down the center. <BR><BR><B>Importan
