<B>'1747' 1/2P Machin's Mills Halfpenny VF20 PCGS.</B></I> Vlack 1-47A, R.5. From later dies with clashmarks near the S in GEORGIVS. The centers of this ebony-brown example are softly defined, but the peripheral legends are bold and complete. A thin, curved mark is noted near the feet of the seated effigy. As of (4/07), PCGS has certified just three examples of this difficult variety: a Fine 12, a Fine 15, and the present VF20 piece.
