The item is 56 MM X 57 MM. off centre cut of a 3 livres Card Money unknown to the collecting society. This date has never been catalogued by Charlton, is not in the Bank of Canada Collection and could be the only known example in the world. The size and wording comply with the norm, even to the cut caused by the left seal (see Bank of Canada example ID #1963.0040.00010.00). This note has 6 pin holes, 2 under Varin's signature, 2 right of Hocquart's signature and 2 above and below Hocquart's signature. There is a cut in the card caused by the left seal, 2 tiny tears on the bottom edge where something jammed the card, and an additional minute tear (4 mm.) at the centre right edge just above Beauharnois's signature. Under Beauharnois's signature, there is an inked line running the length of the card. The style of the 7 complies with other known 1730 notes, especially the small dote of ink at the base of the 7. All three signatures are clean. The reverse is plain but does exhibit several partial folds. The overall card is not as "CLEAN" as others the writer has seen.
