This 1717 Power of Attorney document was signed by John Hopkins, father of Stephen Hopkins (1707-1785), a Colonial administrator and member of the Continental Congress from 1774-1780, and a signer of the Declaration of Independence. The document was to certify Power of Attorney from Nicholas Lochmore to John Hopkins and features the proper tax stamps and signatures. It is in very good condition.
