The Most Distinctive Quality Of A Chameleon Is Their Ability To Change Color. Used As A Defense Mechanism, They Can Blend Into Their Backgrounds Making Them Almost Undetectable. This Chameleon Clings To A Branch And Blends Into The Bark. His Long Tail Coils Around The End And His Feet Clutch The Wood. His Bulging Eyes Seem To Stare At You As He Pokes Out His Thick Tongue. 100% Bronze And Handmade, This Brown Patina Sculpture Was Cast Using The "Lost Wax Method" And Mounted On A Black Marble Base. It Is Signed By The Artist Barye. Antoine Louis Barye Was Born In France September 24Th, 1796 And He Died 1875. Most Of His Work Was Focused Exclusively On Animals, Most Of Them Wild.
