17 Jewel Hamilton Collector's Classic Edition Gold Railroad Watch
This finely detailed 16 size gold filled pocket watch was one of a limited edition of 2,950 presented by the collectors classic edition society. This model was intended to commemorate the Hamilton 992 in the classic bar over crown case with Montgomery dial. The dial on this open face and open-back watch is a white enamel Montgomery style in superb condition. The front bezel features finely engraved gold, and the crystal is flawless. The hour chapter marks the hours in large black Arabic numerals, and the outer chapter ring features red and black Arabic numerals to count off each of 60 seconds/ minutes. The seconds dial is marked in black Arabic numerals in 10 second intervals. The hands are blued; the hour is a heavy spade, and the minute and second hands are whips. The very bottom of the dial is marked "Swiss". The open back of the case is engraved "Registered Edition". The movement is of Swiss manufacture and 17 jewels. "Hamilton" and "892" are also noted. This watch was also adjusted for 2 positions with Incabloc balance. Stem wind, stem set.
