Seventeen Different Artists' Suffrage League Postcards. The Artists' Suffrage League was originally founded in 1907 by English professional female artists in preparation for the first large-scale woman's suffrage demonstration, subsequently known as the "Mud March." They later designed Christmas cards, posters, and banners, donating all of their services to the cause. One of England's leading scholars on both the suffrage movement and suffrage ephemera indicates that they also were responsible for an estimated 16 postcards. In this lot, the largest grouping of the organization's cards ever offered, there are 17. Overall the cards average very good condition. A significant lot that should be of considerable interest to both the collector and historian.

Shipping: Small Flat (view shipping information)
