115908080 This is a wonderful sculpture of a Gemini Woman. Typical Gemini's are very lively and charming, and excellent conversationalists. They are possessed of very active minds and bodies, and are often much younger-looking than they really are. Invention is their stock in trade. On the down side, they are also restless, easily bored, and unable to concentrate on any one thing for a prolonged period of time. She stands delicately on one bare foot with the other one out behind her. She lets her hair blow in the soft wind and runs her fingers through it. She wears a dress that hangs from one shoulder which clings to her petit from and loosely falls around her combining with the natural background. Two cherub faces protrude from the earth by her, both smiling gleefully and representing the two different sides of a Gemini. Engraved on the sculpture is the word "Gemini". Handmade of 100% solid bronze and cast using the ancient "Lost Wax Method". A two tone brown patina is used and the sculpture is signed L. Icart. Louis Justin Laurent Icart was born in Toulouse in 1890 and died in Paris in 1950. He did bronze sculptures and was also a painter that released several book's of his artwork. He lived in New York City in the 1920's where he became known for his Art-Deco of glamorous woman. Condition: This sculpture is in a very Good condition.
