STAR WARS: A NEW HOPE (1977) - Printed Opening Crawl Storyboard with Handwritten Annotations - A printed storyboard for the opening crawl of George Lucas' Star Wars: A New Hope with handwritten annotations. Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) created this storyboard for a visual test before locking the final in-camera version that was added to prints in select theatrical markets.

This storyboard labeled "BOARD #1," "SHOT #101," "PROCESS PLATE #," and "SCRIPT #1" depicts the film's title crawling into view with the description "A sparce [sic] sea of static stars [sic] as titles finish." It features notes at the top, such as "Trenches pulled" and "artwork pulled," alongside others handwritten in ink and graphite The storyboard exhibits creases, folds, and minor tears along the edges.
