<B>1652 SHILNG Pine Tree Shilling, Large Planchet VF25 NGC.</B></I> Noe-1, Crosby 12-I, R.2. 63.4 grains. A smooth and gently wavy dove-gray piece with pleasing detail for the designated grade. Out of round due to a mint-made clip along the right border, and edge flaws at 12 and 6 o'clock. Noe-1 survivors appear to be evenly divided into two die states: early without breaks, and late dies with reverse breaks, most notably between the 16 in the date. The present piece is from late dies.
