1652 SHILNG Oak Tree Shilling Fine 15 PCGS. Noe-13.6, R.6. 67.9 grs. The obverse die was damaged through the center--a feature that prior recutting did not efface. As a result, this coin is poorly defined over and around the oak tree with much of the definition lost to wear. The reverse is considerably sharper, and both sides are rather well centered on the flan. Richly and originally toned in lavender-gray shades with no singularly mentionable circulation marks. There is a planchet crack (as struck) at 6 o'clock. Listed on page 18 of the 2003 Guide Book. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Premier carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
