<B>1652<6PENCE> Oak Tree Sixpence AU53 PCGS.</B></I> Noe-20, Crosby 1a-D, R.6. 34.4 grains. A lavender-brown example that possesses smooth and glossy surfaces. Well struck on the tree, date, and denomination. The obverse is moderately off center toward 12 o'clock, a few letters are partly off the flan and a couple other peripheral letters have a typical strike. Wavy, as made from a rocker press. Noe-20, Noe-21, and Noe-22 are from the same die pair, but the first S in MASATHVSETS was recut to create the latter two varieties. Noe-20 is identified by the presence of beads beneath the S. Listed on page 24 of the 2005 <I>Guide Book.</B></I> As of (6/05), this is the single finest PCGS-graded 1652 Oak Tree Sixpence.
