CDV of Governor Goff of the 15th New York Heavy Artillery, Company M. Signed in ink to verso, ''Governor Goff'': identified from an album of 15th New York Heavy Artillery soldiers. Goff enlisted at Liberty, New York and mustered into service on 22 January 1864. He mustered out with the rest of the regiment on 22 August 1865 at Washington, D.C. The 15th New York saw action at Fort Lyon, the Wilderness, Spotsylvania, Bethesda Church, Cold Harbor and Petersburg. Image in very good condition.
